At the AGM the following officers were elected:

President - Derek Baker; Chairman- David Tomalin; Treasurer - Brian Marsden;

Secretary – Mick Mayes; Assistant Secretary –Judy Marsden;

Captain – David Crockett; Vice-Captains – Harvey McGarry and Alan Smith;

Match Secretary – Anne McGarry; Competition Secretary - John Betts-Allen;

members of the General Committee - Bill Cartwright, John Bussell and Trevor Rowe;

members of the Selection Committee - Mike Muncey and Derek Baker.

 

At the meeting the members agreed overwhelmingly to officially adopt a club shirt. A representation of the shirt (front and back) is shown below.

Bill Cartwright, a member of the club since 2003, passed away on 17th March.

2011 season review

In the Littlehampton Gazette league we came third, only 11 points behind the winning team Worthing Pavilion B.

In the Stracey Shield we came third, only 8 points behind the winners Southwick Park. In the Brodie Tray, which consisted of only 6 games this year, we came second, 18 points behind Field Place Ladies.

The West Tarring Cup was won again for the fourth time in the last 5 years. We also tied for first place in the Marine Gardens cup, but had to lose the honour on shot difference.

In our Friendly games we had a much better season than in 2010, winning 15, losing 6 and drawing one; two were cancelled.

Club subscriptions for 2012 were increased from £15 to £20.

 

2012 Season

The greens open Saturday 21 April and close Saturday 29 September. Most of the fixtures for 2012 have been confirmed. Homefield Park will come back into the Brodie.

 

Notice of Forthcoming Event

The Spring Meeting has been arranged for Wednesday 11 April 2012 at 1930 in the Lewes Room at Field Place. This is an important general meeting, the agenda of which will include the arrangements for the new season and an opportunity to pay club subscriptions and enter the Club’s internal competitions.
